4 Ways to Conceal Your Swimming Pool Equipment

A little planning and clever design can go a long way in helping you hide your unsightly pool equipment.

Pool equipment is one of the best ways to get the most out of your outdoor living space. However, it can be oddly shaped and unwieldy to store in your yard or your home. Here are some of our favorite creative ways to conceal your equipment in the summer and throughout the rest of the year.

Add a Shed to Your Property

Sheds have remained one of the most popular ways to store extra equipment from any part of the home, and pool equipment is no different. Providing that you have enough space in your yard to install one, sheds are a great way to store a variety of floaties, chemicals, and more. The most common shed materials are vinyl, wood, and metal, and each of them can be customized to suit your style.

Add Walls in the Yard

If you don’t want to shield your pool equipment from the weather and aren’t interested in adding a shed to your yard, adding a couple of walls is a great trick. Walls will help guard your pool equipment against being immediately visible, and they will also help dampen the sound of different accessories.

Shift Your Landscaping Around

Landscaping is a natural way to add some greenery to your yard while also shielding your pool equipment from your eyesight. One way to hide accessories is with decorative stones or tall ornamental grasses. For equipment that is a little bit taller or more challenging to hide, you can install small trees or shrubs around the equipment.

Explore Privacy Screens

A privacy screen can be used inside or outside of your house to hide virtually anything, and they will do the same for pool equipment. Privacy screens are more affordable than other options, like installing a shed or a wall. However, privacy screens do not offer a permanent solution and they do little to decrease noise from things like your pool pump.
