Best Geometric Swimming Pool Shapes for 2013

Swimming Pools are in high demand for 2013. When designing a pool, shape and size are a big deal. You can designate the shape and size of your swimming pool based on how you want to use it.

Here are just a few swimming pool design options:

Recreational pools. These pools need to be large and shallow for plenty of space and water fun. They are about 36 inches deep in the shallow area and the deep end 4 to 5 feet.

Swimming Lap Pools. They are designed long, straight and with parallel ends. This pool type is at least 4 feet to 8 feet in depth  throughout the pool so no swimmer can touch the bottom. If the pool is for competitive swimming training it should be at least a length of 25 yards or 25 meters. L shaped look is one of the most popular shapes. Add a diving area and water slides for plenty of exercise and fun.

Swim Spas. This pool type is made for daily workouts. It’s made to fit in small backyards, so its space is limited.

Some great geometric shapes you can use for your swimming pool are squares, rectangles, circles and ovals. Each of these shapes can provide you the opportunity to install a patio around the poolside. On average, a total poolside should be equal to your pool length with it being at least 5 to 8 feet wide.

It’s highly recommend to have a safety fence installed outside the pool patio.
